The 2022 Annual Lions Cricket Award winners were announced and congratulated in grand style on Saturday, 28 May 2022 at the SunBet Times Square Arena. Themed #ThePrideOfJoziAwards, the Lions Cricket eco-system gathered in celebration of South Africa and South African’s – and all that we have achieved on field and off, from pipeline to professional teams.
“With an aim of creating an unrivalled passion for cricket, coupled with being the source of pride for the Lion’s cricketing community, the Pride of Jozi team acknowledged all members of the Pride at the red-carpet awards evening inclusive of the Executive Mayor of Johannesburg, Dr Mpho Phalatse, SASCOC President, Mr Barry Hendricks and Vice President, Lwandile Simelane, Pink Day Fund Chairperson, Connie Fergusson, Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane, various Lions Cricket Ambassadors, Sponsors, Partners, the entire Lions Cricket community as well as fans” commented Wanele Mngomezulu Lions Cricket Head of Marketing, Commercial & Communications.
Lions Cricket CEO Jono Leaf-Wright says that the evening was about the recognition of the Prides achievements, whether on an individual or team level, right across the eco-system of Lions Cricket;
