Bio

David Hussey is an Australian cricket coach and former Australian International player. 

Hussey is currently Assistant Coach at Kolkata Knight Riders and was appointed to this role in September 2019. In addition, Hussey has been serving as Head Coach of the BBL’s Melbourne Stars for 3 years.

Previously, Hussey was National Sponsorship and Association Manager at Kookaburra Sport Pty Limited, branded as “the ball of choice for cricketers and hockey players around the world.” Hussey worked for Kookaburra for over 2 years.

As a player, Hussey was an Australian international in the ODI and T20 formats from 2008-2013. In domestic competition, he played for the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club in England; and was captain of the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League, where he played for 6 seasons. In addition, he played several seasons in the IPL for KKR, Chennai Super Kings, and Kings XI Punjab, where he also served as captain. 

Hussey received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Edith Cowan University in 2018.
