CSA: South Africa begin red-ball preparations

Test head coach Shukri Conrad has scheduled winter red-ball camps in June as preparations begin for the 2024/25 season.  

These camps will be held at the Centre of Excellence in Pretoria and will provide players within South Africa’s cricket pipeline the opportunity to build on their red-ball skills in a high-performance environment. 

The camps will be overseen by the Test support staff, including batting coach Ashwell Prince and bowling coach Piet Botha.  

The start of the new season will see the Proteas Men take on West Indies in two Test matches along with a preceding four-day warm-up match from 31 July – 19 August in the Caribbean. South Africa A will compete concurrently against West Indies A in a three-match four-day series.  

Fast Bowlers Camp from 03 – 07 June

Okuhle Cele (Hollywoodbets Dolphins), Dayyaan Galiem (Momentum Multiply Titans), Tshepo Moreki (DP World Lions), Mihlali Mpongwana (World Sports Betting Western Province), Lutho Sipamla (DP World Lions) and Cody Yusuf (DP World Lions). 

Batters and Fast Bowlers Camp from 10 – 14 June

Neil Brand (Momentum Multiply Titans), Dewald Brewis (Momentum Multiply Titans), Tshepang Dithole (Hollywoodbets Dolphins), Jean du Plessis (Dafabet Warriors), Zubayr Hamza (DP World Lions), Andile Mogakane (Dafabet Warriors), Rivaldo Moonsamy (Momentum Multiply Titans), Senuran Muthusamy (North West Dragons), Sinethemba Qeshile (Dafabet Warriors), Kyle Verreynne (World Sports Betting Western Province). 

Batters and Spin Bowlers Camp from 17 – 21 June

Temba Bavuma (DP World Lions), Neil Brand (Momentum Multiply Titans), Dewald Brewis (Momentum Multiply Titans), Tshepang Dithole (Hollywoodbets Dolphins), Jean du Plessis (Dafabet Warriors), Schalk Engelbrecht (Momentum Multiply Titans), Zubayr Hamza (DP World Lions), Andile Mogakane (Dafabet Warriors), Senuran Muthusamy (North West Dragons), Sinethemba Qeshile (Dafabet Warriors), Prenelan Subrayen (Hollywoodbets Dolphins), and Kyle Verreynne (World Sports Betting Western Province).
