Scotland’s Mark Watt and Rachel Slater will both be linking up with The Hundred’s Oval Invincibles after being selected in the Vitality Wildcard Draft.
The pair will join Kathryn Bryce (Manchester Originals), Sarah Bryce (Welsh Fire) and Ailsa Lister (Birmingham Phoenix) at the 2024 edition of The Hundred.
Watt is coming off an impressive ICC Men’s T20 World Cup campaign with Scotland, standing out in particular against Australia, taking 2-34, including the wickets of Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis.
Rachel Slater was the leading wicket taker at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier as Scotland Women qualified for a first-ever World Cup. The left-arm quick took 11 wickets at 13.81, including a career-best 5-17 against Uganda.
Since returning to the Northern Diamonds, Slater has continued to impress in the Charlotte Edwards Cup, picking up 12 wickets at 18.83 across the competition.
The Hundred begins on July 23, with the Oval Invincibles facing the Birmingham Phoenix in a double-header at the Oval.
