Glamorgan County Cricket Club are delighted to announce the signing of leg-spinner and England International Mason Crane on a three-year contract.
The 27-year-old joined the Welsh county on a season-long loan from Hampshire and has been our best bowler in both the Vitality County Championship and Vitality Blast so far this season.
The attacking leggie has picked up 17 wickets in Vitality Blast so far this year, having played in eleven games with an economy rate of 8.00 and his best bowling figures of 4/25 in the game against Essex at Chelmsford. He is currently the leading wicket-taking spinner in the South Group of the competition.
In the Vitality County Championship, Crane has picked up 24 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls and a four-wicket haul. He is the leading wicket-taker among spinners in Division 2. With the bat, he has scored 351 runs with an average of 43.87, including two half-centuries and his career-best score of 61 against Northamptonshire.
Due to his brilliant performances on the field, Crane has also been selected by Welsh Fire as a Wild Card pick for The Hundred 2024.
On signing his contract, Crane said: “I have loved every minute since joining Glamorgan at the start of the season.
