We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Coach to lead our Men’s National Cricket Team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in coaching at the highest level, a deep understanding of the game, and the ability to inspire and develop elite cricketers.

>> Principal Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve team success across all formats of international competition
• Responsible for development & delivery of National Team Training Programs that continue to enhance player skills, fitness, and performance
• Foster a positive team culture and maintain high standards of discipline built on trust, commitment and accountability
• Work closely with selectors to ensure alignment to team strategic plans for success in any format, any conditions
• In partnership with selectors and HPC coaching team, identify and develop, players of national interest aligned to strategic plans for success in any format, any conditions
• Provide leadership and direction to HPC coaching cohort
• Responsible for the ongoing management of individual skill development strategies aligned to Player Development Plans (PDP)
• Monitor match analytics based on style of play for ongoing development of team performance measurements and series planning
• Represent the team in media and public engagements
• Meet all Agreed deadlines, objectives & adhere to all Sri Lanka Cricket policies
• Ensure the Chief Executive Officer is provided with regular updates on the team environment via monthly meetings with training plans & schedules

>>> Knowledge & Experience
Essential
• Demonstrable international coaching experience with understanding of elite performance
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse groups of players, coaching staff, management, and Board members
• Proven ability to interrupt and implement match data across all formats, all conditions in international cricket
• Experience in athlete talent identification and development processes
• Experience in managing stakeholders and strong communication skills
• Open to adopting new technology
• A collaborative working style
• Representative (Level 3) Coach Accreditation

Desirable
• International / First-class cricket experience
• Competent computer skills with Microsoft applications

Qualifications (if required)
• Minimum Level 3 Coaching Accreditation

>> General Information
In addition to working within the team environment, the Head Coach should be prepared to work independently and irregular hours. If you are a team player with the drive and initiative to perform with minimum supervision and willingness to work in a team oriented environment, you could be the person we are looking for.
