Butlers Chocolates are continuing their relationship with Cricket Ireland in a move that will see the luxury chocolatiers officially featuring on the jersey of the Ireland Women senior cricket team.

Butlers – which has been the Official Chocolate Partner for Cricket Ireland since 2022 – will become the side of shirt sponsor of Ireland Women for the remainder of 2024 in a boost for women’s cricket in Ireland.

Ireland Women’s captain Laura Delany and her chargers are preparing for a busy six months during which they will host Sri Lanka this month and England in September. The squad will tour Bangladesh in November before touring India in January.

Butlers Chocolates is also supporting the Cricket Ireland Club Cup competitions during the finals later this month, helping to increase the profile of the premier club competitions in Ireland, including the Irish Senior Cup and National Cup, as well as the Women’s and Men’s All Ireland T20 Cups.

Speaking about the company’s association with Cricket Ireland, Butlers’ Marketing Director Aisling Walsh said:

“We are delighted to show our support for women’s and grassroots cricket in Ireland. Irish cricket is deeply rooted in the heart of many families and local communities and, as a family-owned business, we are really excited by this evolution of our relationship with Cricket Ireland.

“Support to those around us is an important part of what we do at Butlers Chocolates. Our association with Cricket Ireland demonstrates our ongoing commitment to always doing our best to support our wider community.

“By supporting Cricket Ireland’s premier club cup competitions, we are delighted to play our part in helping to grow the profile of club cricket in Ireland, which is the breeding ground for so many of stars who go on to play for Ireland.”

Business Development Manager at Cricket Ireland, Paul O’Sullivan said:

“For an iconic Irish-owned family business like Butlers to strengthen its ties with Irish cricket is great news for everyone within our sport.

“Butlers have been immensely supportive of cricket across Ireland since first partnering with us in 2022 and this evolution in relationship underscores the opportunities that this iconic Irish brand sees in Cricket Ireland as we further develop the men’s and women’s teams competing on the international stage, whilst investing more resources into the grassroots of the sport.

“Butlers Chocolates joining Certa and Corpay on the Ireland Women’s shirts demonstrates how brands either from, or with a significant presence in Ireland, are rallying behind Irish cricket. Not only are they helping to increase the profile of our sport, but they are directly supporting our players to realise their potential and we are delighted to have them on board.”
