Amazon Australia has launched Prime Free Same-Day Delivery in Sydney, covering over 90% of the city. The service is free for Prime members on eligible orders over $49.
Prime members can order from over one million products by midday for delivery before 10pm. Cricket star Mitch Starc has been named ‘Chief Speed Officer’ to celebrate the launch.
Amazon plans to expand eligible products and delivery areas. For members outside these zones, free two-day delivery is available. Mitch Starc will also make special deliveries to select Sydney residents through an Instagram competition.
New customers can try Prime with a 30-day free trial at amazon.com.au/prime.
Janet Menzies, Country Manager for Amazon Australia, said, “We are focused on getting even faster for Prime members and are thrilled to be hitting a major milestone with the announcement of free Same-Day Delivery across a huge range of products for members in Sydney.
