The Melbourne Stars are pleased to announce the signing of major partner and official cooking appliance manufacturer Belling, for the Rebel WBBL|06 campaign.

For over a century, Belling has brought clever and innovative ideas to cooking appliances and in turn has become one of Australia’s favourite home appliance brands, winning the accolade of Best Oven Brand in the 2019/20 Finder Retail Awards.

Belling forms part of the Glen Dimplex Group which was founded in 1973 and considered the world’s largest electrical heating business, with significant market positions in the domestic appliance industry worldwide.

The major partnership will see the Belling brand present on all Stars player and coaches apparel, media banners and LED signage throughout the WBBL|06 campaign.

Belling CEO David Woodward said “We are really excited to be supporting sport during this difficult year and expect cricket to have a huge summer ahead – however people are able to watch it. The WBBL has been gaining popularity at an incredible pace so it was a natural fit with our target audience – families. Belling is an iconic brand in the UK and we are really excited to partner with the Stars in Australia which will give the brand huge exposure. Bring on a big summer of cricket!”

Melbourne Stars General Manager Nick Cummins said he was thrilled to have Belling on board as a major partner for the season ahead.

“To have the support of a global brand in Belling is extremely pleasing and a welcome addition to the Stars family. The WBBL is the most watched women’s sporting league in Australia, we look forward to provide significant exposure and building Belling brand affinity with our members, fans and the broader cricketing public.” Cummins said.

“While women’s sport has come forward in leaps in bounds it still requires sponsors to provide active support to help grow female participation. Belling should be commended for their partnership with the Melbourne Stars.”
