Ryan Harrison has been awarded an ACES contract for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
The Domestic contract is effective from December 1 replacing Colin Munro, who has joined the Perth Scorchers for the upcoming Big Bash League season.
Harrison was welcomed into the group earlier in the season and is honoured to receive his first contract.
“It’s a dream come true to be contracted by Auckland and it is exciting to be a part of such a talented and driven squad.
“It’s an exciting time and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my partner and family.
The 21-year old allrounder looks forward to taking the next step in his cricketing career.
“Representing Auckland is something I’ve dreamt of doing but only recently have I thought it would become a reality.”
“The next challenge is to bring an eagerness to learn and improve every day to stay in the group and contribute as much as possible on the field.”
ACES Head Coach Heinrich Malan is thrilled Auckland Cricket is in a position to reward Harrison with his first contract.
“We knew it was important to invest in Ryan through the winter and, as things have panned out, he has been rewarded for his effort.
“Ryan has shown great work ethic and commitment since joining the squad and we look forward to seeing how that preparation translates at the next level.”
