The Emirates Cricket Board is the governing body for cricket in the United Arab Emirates. An Associate Member of the International Cricket Council since 1990, it represents the UAE at the ICC and is also a member of the Asian Cricket Council.

In what marks a historic day for both UAE Cricket and the Emirati community, Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) confirms that Khalid Al Zarooni has been elected onto the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Executive Board as a Director following the recent virtual ACC AGM.  

Al Zarooni, Vice Chairman Emirates Cricket Board and Board Member Asian Cricket Council, said; “I am extremely honoured to be elected to sit on this illustrious Board and I look forward to working alongside the newly elected ACC President, Jay Shah (BCCI), and my fellow members to lift the profile of Cricket across Asia.” “Together (the Board) will work on navigating our way through the current pressing issues that have impacted our sport, and look toward implementing strategies and effective programs that will benefit growth and development at the grass-root level, age-groups and the women’s game across our region while support the efforts of our representative teams to compete competitively on the international stage.” 

He will continue to be actively involved with UAE Cricket, holding the prestigious title of Vice Chairman Emirates Cricket Board.
