The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), formerly the Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan, is the governing body for cricket in Pakistan. It oversees and organizes all tours and matches for the Pakistan national cricket team. A member of the International Cricket Council since 1952, the PCB represents Pakistan's men's and women's teams in international cricket tournaments.

Karachi, 12 February 2021: The Karachi-leg of HBL Pakistan Super League 2021 will be held at the National Stadium from 20 February to 7 March. Prior to the commencement of the event proper, the six teams will hold training sessions and virtual media sessions in accordance with the PCB Covid-19 protocols. As such, accredited members of the media will only be allowed to cover training sessions and matches at the National Stadium.

The PCB will arrange the pre-tournament virtual media conferences, while short video clips of star performers of the matches will be shared via the WhatsApp Group. The pre-event online sessions and post-match video interviews can be used for editorial purposes use only.

Emmad Ahmed Hameed (03018452417) will be PCB Media Manager, who will oversee media operations at the National Stadium. He will be supported by Shakeel Khan (03018440284) from 14-20 February.

Monday, 15 February:

  • Peshawar Zalmi training session at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre, and National Stadium from 3pm
  • Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings training session at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre, and National Stadium from 7:30pm

Tuesday, 16 February:

  • Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi pre-tournament virtual press conferences from 11am.
  • Quetta Gladiators, Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi training sessions at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre and the National Stadium from 3pm
  • Multan Sultans and Islamabad United training at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre and the National Stadium from 7:30pm
  • Karachi Kings training session at the DHA Moin Khan Academy from 7:30pm

Wednesday, 17 February:

  • Islamabad United and Multan Sultans pre-tournament virtual press conferences from 11am.
  • Multan Sultans and Islamabad United training sessions at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre and National Stadium from 3pm
  • Quetta Gladiators-Peshawar Zalmi practice match at the National Stadium from 7:30pm
  • Karachi Kings-Lahore Qalandars practice match at the DHA Moin Khan Academy from 7:30pm

Thursday, 18 February:

  • Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators pre-tournament virtual press conferences from 11am.
  • Quetta Gladiators-Lahore Qalandars practice match at the National Stadium from 3pm
  • Karachi Kings-Islamabad United practice match at the National Stadium from 7:30pm
  •  Multan Sultans-Peshawar Zalmi practice match at the DHA Moin Khan Academy from 7:30pm 

Friday, 19 February:

  • PCB presser expected at the National Stadium press conference area. Details will be confirmed closer to time
  • Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars training sessions at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre and National Stadium from 3pm
  • Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators practice at the National Stadium from 7:30pm
  • Multan Sultans will practice at the DHA Moin Khan Academy from 7:30pm

During the tournament the teams will continue to practice on their non-match days, for details of those sessions, please contact the team media managers

Toss and start timing

  • Saturday – Thursday: day matches to start at 2pm, night matches to start at 7pm; toss to take place half an hour before start
  • Friday’s double-headers to start at 3pm and 8pm, respectively; toss to take place half an hour before start

PCB Covid-19 Protocols and Media Terms and Conditions

Media accreditation passes

  • Media passes will be available for collection from the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre from 1000-1700 on 15 February
  • All accredited media will undergo Covid-19 testing on 13 February and those returning negative results will be issued with tournament passes
