The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the national governing body for cricket in England and Wales, formed on January 1, 1997. It combines roles from the Test and County Cricket Board, National Cricket Association, and Cricket Council, and integrated the Women's Cricket Association in 1998. Based at Lord's Cricket Ground, the ECB oversees all levels of cricket, including national teams for men, women, and various disability categories.

As cricketers across England and Wales get ready to #ReturnToPlay from today, the ECB can reveal unprecedented demand for the ECBs flagship junior programmes, Dynamos Cricket and All Stars Cricket.

Since registrations opened a week ago, over 35,000 children have signed up to the two programmes which are designed to help kids develop new cricketing skills and begin a lifelong love for the game.

Dynamos Cricket is for children aged 8-11 graduating from All Stars Cricket. The programme is also perfect for those who are totally new to the sport.

To find out more about Dynamos Cricket and to register your children to take part visit dynamoscricket.co.uk. Parents of kids aged 5-8 can sign up for All Stars Cricket at allstarscricket.co.uk.

Both programmes are aligned with the government’s commitment to exercise and the Chief Medical Officer’s guidance that children should aim for 60 minutes of physical activity a day

This comes as the latest unlocking on the government roadmap has allowed for the reopening of grassroots sport. From today, organised outdoor cricket and organised outdoor coaching can resume in line with Government guidance and safeguarding ratios.

Tammy Beaumont, England and London Spirit star said, “It is brilliant news that so many children are already signed up for Dynamos and All Stars Cricket. They are fantastic ways to get involved and learn to love our game. I’m sure kids and adults around the country are incredibly excited to be back playing and we are all looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic summer of sport.”
