Cricket Namibia is the governing body for cricket in Namibia. Headquartered in Windhoek, the capital city, it has been an ICC Associate Member since 1992 and is also a member of the African Cricket Association.

An exciting career opportunity for the position of Grounds man – National nets & pitches in the Namibia staff structure.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the building and maintaining of all cricket pitches under Cricket Namibia’s jurisdiction and be in full control of the National training facility.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate must:
• Experience in building and maintaining turf cricket pitches.
• Experience in providing winter treatment and maintenance to turf pitches.
• Understand how to prepare turf pitches for training.
• Able to repair cricket netting.
• Must be able to function individually with no supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Watering, cutting and rolling of National training facility.
• Repairing of netting and net structure.
• Cleaning and marking of synthetic nets.
• Cutting, watering and preparing run-ups
• Building of new turf pitches when and where required.
• Winter treatment of all turf pitches under Cricket Namibia jurisdiction.
• Must have a valid driver’s license

The position will report directly to the National coach and the Cricket Namibia Operations manager.
