Norman Arendse appointed to CSA Board; Lawson Naidoo to head Audit, Governance and Risk Committee

Cricket South Africa (CSA) governs cricket in South Africa. Formed in 2002, it succeeded the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB) and became the sole governing body in 2008. CSA oversees all levels of cricket, including national teams for men and women, and is a full ICC member and SASCOC affiliate.

Advocate Norman Arendse SC was appointed as the eighth independent director and Mr Lawson Naidoo was elected as chair of the Audit, Governance and Risk Committee when Cricket South Africa’s (CSA) Annual General Meeting was completed through a zoom session this evening. 

These were the two outstanding issues from the first session of the AGM on Saturday when seven of the eight independent directors were appointed. 

Mr Naidoo was unanimously elected by the Members’ Council at this evening’s session as were the other three members of the committee. 

Board of Directors: Advocate Norman Arendse SC, Advocate Steven Budlender SC, Mr Daniel Govender, Mr Andrew Hudson, Dr Simo Lushaba, Mr John Mogodi, Mr Lawson Naidoo, Mr Craig Nel, Mr Simphiwe Ndzundzu, Mr Andisa Ntsubane, Mr Mark Rayner, Ms Muditambi Ravele, Mr Tebogo Siko, Mr Pholetsi Moseki (Acting CEO), Ms Christelle Janse van Rensburg (Acting CFO). 

Audit, Governance and Risk Committee: Mr Lawson Naidoo (chairperson), Advocate Steven Budlender SC, Dr Simo Lushaba, Mr Mark Rayner.
