Head of Media Relations

Here’s the deal…
Cricket Australia is looking for a driven Head of Media Relations to join our Marketing & Communications department.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Marketing & Communications you’ll be responsible for leading communications for the Australian Men & Women’s Cricket teams, domestic and international.

About The Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of communication professionals to develop and implement our national communications program
  • Providing strategic advise to CA on all media relations
  • Developing and maintaining an effective media strategy
  • Driving Cricket’s share of voice in the media to ensure it is well covered in the sports media landscape
  • Build, leverage and maintain relationships with critical media stakeholders

You’ll Have

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant field is desirable
  • Significant demonstrated experience in a large, complex and issues rich environment managing corporate affairs and media relations
  • Demonstrated experience in gaining positive coverage for corporate positioning
  • Sound experience as a corporate spokesperson
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
  • Strong written communication skills
