Cricket Australia is the national governing body responsible for leading the growth and sustainability of the sport in partnership with organisations across Australian Cricket.
Participation is the lifeblood of our game, and our participation rates continue to grow. You will underpin this by building capability within volunteers, teachers, community coaches, umpires and field force as the key enablers in driving quality experiences in our sport. You will also be responsible for leading the design and implementation of learning and development content that drives capability across the High-Performance cricket services which are key enablers for optimal performance.
Additionally, this role leads the development of content to support off field pathway player development and is critical to ensuring integrity education outcomes are enhanced.
We are looking for an experienced L&D leader with strong expertise in leading the design, development, delivery and evaluation of contemporary learning and development strategies, frameworks and programs. This is a senior L&D position, so we are looking for candidates with diverse backgrounds.

You will report to the EGM Community Cricket & Capability who is passionate about education and the impact this newly created role will have on our capability development within our sport. You will bring previous experience and success in a similar role in a complex stakeholder environment and will have the opportunity to contribute your energy, passion and experience to make a real difference.
About the role
Your key responsibilities will include:
– Provide effective leadership of the Capability team to ensure planning, design, implementation and evaluation of consistent, standardised, best practice, contemporary evidence-based learning and development content and delivery across Australian Cricket
– Support the EGM in the planning, development, implementation and review of Cricket Australia’s strategic and operational plans, particularly in relation to the provision of learning and development/capability services across Australian Cricket
– Maximise the use of technology to drive adult learning outcomes which complement a face to face learning environment where appropriate
– Engage with key stakeholders to develop a capability needs analysis and action plan that aligns with a high-performance environment
– Drive continuous improvement to innovate the delivery of cricket education and development programs across a geographically dispersed stakeholder landscape
– Engage with academic and industry research opportunities that support the growth and development of capabilities across the core cricket functions across Australian Cricket
– Explore opportunities to lead the commercialisation of education programs and materials globally
About you
You will have:
– Tertiary qualifications in education/adult learning or a related discipline
– Sound knowledge of key learning methodologies and contemporary learning principles
– Strong experience and expertise in leading a team to design and deliver diverse learning and development strategies, frameworks and programs
– Experience in deploying educational technology solutions
– Experience in driving innovation and change in a complex stakeholder environment
– Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication and coaching skills
– Be able to demonstrate a drive for continuous improvement and strong commercial acumen
– High level of resilience, with the ability to navigate complex environments
– A passionate culture ambassador
Ideally you will have:
– Experience in the commercialisation of education programs.
