USA Cricket can confirm it has made two changes to its originally announced Squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series in Oman following injuries to two of the travelling party. Aaron Jones suffered an injury to his left hand with a hairline fracture confirmed by x-ray, whilst Jasdeep Singh has also been ruled out of the tour with side strain, confirmed by scan.

Singh will be replaced by fast bowler, Kyle Phillip and Jones will be replaced by all-rounder, Sanjay Krishnamurthi, both who are yet to be capped by USA at international level. Phillip was already with the USA Squad in Oman as the reserve player while Krishnamurthi was called into the squad as injury cover and arrived in Oman on Friday. Phillip has previously played for USA in the Cricket West Indies Super 50 but not in international competition.

Jasdeep Singh will travel home to New Jersey as soon as possible to receive ongoing local treatment for his injury, whilst Aaron Jones whose injury is only affecting his left-hand will stay with the squad as a net-bowler (right-arm leg spin) under supervision from the travelling physio, Ollie Rix.

Both changes have been authorized by the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 Event Technical Committee and means the 14 man USA squad in as follows.
