In 2020 Punjab Cricket Club Rotterdam started a collaboration with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centers (SKMCH&RC) in Pakistan, modern hospitals that specialize in treating cancer free of charge for people who cannot afford treatment. On Sunday, September 19, 2021, Punjab will host a benefit tournament with the aim of raising money for Shaukat Khanum.

Third hospital

A third hospital is currently being built in the megacity of Karachi. With this third hospital there will be a good spread throughout the country, which stretches over more than 900,000 square kilometers! In addition, SKMCH&RC has representation in more than 65 cities across Pakistan. Think of diagnosis centers, walk-in clinics (cancer screening center) and laboratory collection points. The Human Rights Society Pakistan and World Health Organization (WHO) have recognized and valued SKMCH&RC for their contribution to humanity.

the benefit

Collecting money for the foundation is central during the benefit at Punjab CCR. There will be 8 teams participating, each contributing financially and competing against each other by playing short 5-over matches. In addition, an exclusive cricket ball signed by Imran Khan (cricket legend, Prime Minister of Pakistan and founder of SKMCH&RC) will be auctioned during the event and of course the Punjab CCR canteen will provide the most delicious snacks and drinks.

For this special occasion, Pakistani Ambassador Seljuk Mustansir Tarar will conduct the award ceremonies!
