South Australian local product, Annie O’Neil has re-signed with Adelaide Strikers ahead of Weber WBBL|07, adding further depth to the near complete squad.

The 22-year-old is damaging in the middle-order, as well as demonstrating handy leg-spin and oozing talent in the field.

The right-hander made her debut in blue during WBBL|05 after a number of successful appearances at State and First-Grade level.

The two-time premiership player for Sturt Cricket Club has proven herself as an aggressive middle-order batter, currently holding a remarkable club record of 242 not out.

A successful junior, O’Neil led South Australia’s Under 18 side in back-to-back National Championships in 2016 and 2017.

Looking forward to a third summer in blue, O’Neil is excited about the challenges that lay ahead in WBBL|07.

“I am really excited to re-sign with the Strikers, it’s a great franchise and group to be a part of and I think we have a team that will be extremely competitive throughout the season.”
