Perth Scorchers Members and fans are the major winners of the revised Weber Women’s Big Bash League schedule announced today by Cricket Australia.In a massive coup for Perth, fixtures initially scheduled interstate have been moved to the iconic WACA Ground and the Scorchers will now play five matches across nine days in front of hometown support.
A midweek double-header will take place at the WACA Ground on Wednesday 3 November with the Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes doing battle before the Scorchers take on the Renegades at 4.50pmWST.
The Scorchers then play back-to-back matches against the Hurricanes on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November to wrap up the Perth leg of their tournament.
Perth’s WBBL cricket action will still begin on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 October with four matches scheduled across two days at Lilac Hill.
The League has also confirmed that every Scorchers match will be broadcast for the first time in the competition’s history.
Five matches will be simulcast on Seven and Foxtel, while nine will be shown exclusively on Foxtel.

“We’re delighted that all Scorchers matches will be televised and are grateful for the support from our broadcast partners in continuing to grow the tournament’s profile and its ability to inspire women and girls to play cricket.
“We’re thrilled WBBL will return to Perth after missing out last season and look forward to hosting eight matches over nine action-packed days.
“Our WBBL match days are some of the best in the country thanks to the amazing support of the club’s passionate fanbase and it will be great to see our team back in WA playing in front of them.”
Tickets for Perth Scorchers matches at the WACA Ground will go on sale on Tuesday, 12 October from Ticketek, with adults $10 and concession $5, plus agency fees. Entry for children is free.
Entry for the double-header weekend at Lilac Hill is free.
