The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is the governing body for cricket in Afghanistan. It joined the ICC in 2001, became an associate member in 2013, and a full member in 2017. The ACB is also part of the Asian Cricket Council.

ACB Chairman Mr. Aziz Ullah Fazli participated in the Asian Cricket Council meeting yesterday together with the leadership of ACC members.


The council discussed cricket issues including Asia Cup and other developments. Afghanistan cricket was also discussed in the meeting, at which, ACB chairman Mr. Aziz Ullah Fazli provided detailed information to the participants of the meeting.


In addition, ACB chairman, Mr. Fazli briefed the participants about the current developments, activities, games, programs, as well as, Afghanistan’s future goals. He also ensured the support of current government to ACB.


Mr. Fazli added: “ Afghan cricket-loving nation is very happy with our current developments and we are trying to bring more happiness to them. We will spare no efforts to continue to extend more cricket and for the development of cricket in our communities. “

At the same time, in the margin of this meeting, the ACB chairman held meetings with the other member countries, and in his meetings, Mr. Fazli responded to their concerns and shared detailed information with all of them. As a result of which, all expressed happiness about the development of cricket in Afghanistan.


ACB received the commitments of continued support from the Asian Cricket Council at the end of the meeting.
It is worth mentioning that the Asian Cricket Council meets once a year or convene its meeting as needed. At which, all member countries present their boards, talk about developments and challenges and find solutions to the problems.
