Position Title: Fielding Coach – Team India
Role Based: Mumbai
Reports to: Head Coach – Team India

Term: 2 years - Role Purpose:
Responsible for coaching to the National Men’s Team - Key Accountabilities:
• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a world class fielding team that delivers sustained success in all conditions and formats.
• The Fielding Coach will have overall responsibility for the ] fielding performance and management of the athletes in all three forms of the game.
• Develop and implement comprehensive technical, tactical, physical and cognitive Fielding programs for contracted and targeted players across formats.
• Manage fielding sessions for players in both match and practice. Provide one to one coaching as required for skills upgradation.
• Utilise technology to analyse players strengths and weaknesses.
• Develop and monitor fielding objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI ‘s) for inclusion in Individual Performance Plans. Provide measures for determining the player’s contributions in the field towards success of a team in different match situations.
• Work closely with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Head Physiotherapist in applying appropriate strength and conditioning principles relevant to safe throwing and catching.
• Must have the ability to consistently maintain team performance levels in all competition formats, notwithstanding player roster variations due to injury and international representation.
• Manage player workloads in conjunction with Sports Science support staff. - Operating Environment:

• Men’s Senior Selection Committee - Decision Making:
High – accountable for Team India (Senior Men) performance. - Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
• Should have played minimum of 10 Test Matches or 25 ODI’s; or
• Fielding Coach of a full member Test Playing Nation, for a minimum period of 2 years; or
• Coach/ Fielding Coach of an Associate member Test Playing nation /IPL Team or Equivalent International Leagues/ National A teams /First Class teams/U-19 National team, for a minimum period of 3 years; or
• Should have BCCI Level 3 Certification or equivalent.
• Below 60 years of age at the time of appointment. - Competencies:
• The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they can create a winning culture and world leading teams in all forms of the game.
• The successful candidate should be an outstanding communicator and man manager.
• To build a structure in place that ensures that all players are developed as cricketers and individuals.
• The successful candidate needs to demonstrate great organizational and tactical strengths and will be responsible for setting out and then executing short, medium and long term plans for the development of the Indian team.
