    Term: 2 years
  3. Role Purpose:
    Responsible for coaching the National Men’s Team
  4. Key Accountabilities:
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a world class bowling outfit that delivers sustained success in all conditions and formats.
    • The Bowling Coach will have overall responsibility for the bowling performance and management of the athletes in all three forms of the game.
    • Develop and monitor bowling objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI ‘s) for inclusion in Individual Bowlers Performance Plans.
    • Develop positive and strong working relationships, and work closely with other specialist coaches and NCA Coaches
    • Work closely with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Head Physiotherapist in applying appropriate strength and conditioning principles relevant to bowling. Use Bio-mechanical principles along with Head Strength and Conditioning Coach to deliver a bowling program which adheres to modern sports science tenets.
    • Undertake, develop, and monitor a workload management plan for all bowlers (contracted and identified)
    • Use GPS enabled devices or similar performance measurement devices to develop specific algorithms to develop metrics which are relevant to bowling and act as a Key performance Indicators for bowlers.
    • Observe bowlers in elite competitions as advised by the National Academy Head Cricket or Selectors.

  7. Decision Making:
    High – accountable for Team India (Senior Men) performance.
  8. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
    • Should have played minimum of 10 Test Matches or 25 ODIS; or
    • Bowling Coach of a full member Test Playing Nation, for a minimum period of 2 years; or
    • Coach/Bowling Coach of an Associate member /IPL Team or Equivalent International Leagues/ National A teams /First Class teams/U-19 National team, for a minimum period of 3 years; or
    • Should have BCCI Level 3 Certification or equivalent
    • Below 60 years of age at the time of appointment
  9. Competencies:
    • The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they can create a winning culture and world leading teams in all forms of the game.
    • The successful candidate should be an outstanding communicator and man manager.
    • To build a structure in place that ensures that all players are developed as cricketers and individuals.
    • The successful candidate needs to demonstrate great organizational and tactical strengths and will be responsible for setting out and then executing short, medium and long term plans for the development of the Indian team.
