Six Gun Grill Western Province Women’s team kick off their season this weekend in the first round of Division One CSA Provincial One Day fixtures which are set to take place in a bio-secure environment in Gauteng.
Coach Claire Terblanche’s squad will take on Easterns, Senwes Dragons, Central Gauteng Lions, Northerns and Hollywoodbets KZN Coastal in 50 over matches and Terblanche believes the squad are ready to hit the ground running: “The preparation is done, and we are now ready to kick off our season, we have set our standards and we want to continue to raise them, starting this weekend and throughout the season.”
During a kit handover ceremony at Six Gun Grill Newlands on Wednesday evening, WPCA CEO Michael Canterbury handed over the caps to the cricketers and encouraged the team to represent the WP brand with pride and wished them luck for the start of their season.
“We want to wish coach Claire, her management team, captain Alexis Le Breton and the entire squad everything of the best for their first part of the season starting this weekend. Our Six Gun Grill WP Women’s team has always represented the brand with pride, and I have no doubt that our history of success will continue this coming season.”
