It’s time for Perth Scorchers Members and fans to and grab their tickets to the hottest seats in town this summer as tickets for the first two home games go on sale today.The Scorchers are sure to make an explosive start to their 2021-22 KFC Big Bash League season with the backing of their notoriously intimidating home crowd at Optus Stadium on Wednesday 8 December, when they take on the Brisbane Heat.

Tickets start at $27 for Adults, $21 for Concession and $11 for Kids (15&under) for the first two home games and can be secured via Ticketmaster.

They return to fire up #TheFurnace again on Monday 20 December in their clash against the Hobart Hurricanes.

Their showdown with the Adelaide Strikers on Saturday 11 December has been moved to the Sydney Showgrounds Stadium due to Western Australia’s State Government COVID-19 border restrictions.

The Strikers would have played in Melbourne four days earlier and at this stage the State Government’s regulations do not permit access into WA from an ‘extreme risk state’ (which is Victoria’s current status) within that time frame, even if the game is played in a COVID bio-security bubble.

The Perth Scorchers (WA Cricket) and Cricket Australia have been working closely with the State Government on the rules around border restrictions, hosting major events and protecting the health of Western Australians.

The teams, support staff, officials and event staff entering WA for these games will be doing so in a fly-in fly-out model, that strictly limits their interaction with the WA public and minimises risk.

WA Cricket CEO, Christina Matthews said;

“We are working closely with WA Police and the State Government on a regular basis to make sure we can secure as many BBL games as possible for our Members and fans, whilst prioritising the health and safety of all West Australians.

“At this stage we have managed to keep two of our first three home games and we will confirm the next block of home games closer to the time as the COVID situation around the country is constantly changing.

“We are grateful that our Members, fans and Partners stood by us last year in a similar situation, with over 100 thousand attending the five matches we hosted at Optus Stadium, the highest attendance in the league.

“We know how important our home game fixtures are to them and to our team so we will do everything we can to make sure we can secure as many as possible.”
