While based in the ACT, your role is a national one, and you will be responsible for assisting with or investigating day-to-day cyber security requests and incidents – all within the context of Australia’s favourite sport.
Whether you’re beginning your career or looking to transition into cyber security, this role will allow you to combine a passion for cricket (or sport in general) with your interest in the dynamic, fast-paced and challenging world that is cyber security.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Cyber Security Manager, you will:
- Respond to security incidents and requests in accordance with procedure and within SLEs
- Implement and upgrade security measures and controls as defined in cyber security policies and standards.
- Proactively monitor the performance of network, system, and application security solutions to identify and surface potential breaches and intrusion incidents.
- Maintain metrics of key operational measures.
- Remain up to date on information technology and cyber security trends and standards.
- Provide auxiliary support to Australian Cricket locations, matches, and events.
- Provide after hours and on call support for cyber security incidents at agreed times.
You’ll have:
- A strong and demonstrable understanding of the Cyber Security field.
- A strong desire to enhance or establish a Cyber Security focus.
- Suitable qualifications in a technology-related field.
- Security-related Microsoft certifications.
- 3+ years’ experience in a technology-related field.
- 1+ years’ experience in administration of Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus and IDPS concepts.
- Familiarity with PowerShell and/or other scripting languages and techniques.
- Customer oriented focus with exceptional interpersonal and time management skills.
You may also have: - 1+ years’ experience in a cyber security-related field.
- 1+ years’ experience in M365 Security and Compliance.
- Familiarity with Windows server and workstation administration, including policy configuration and deployment.
