The KFC Big Bash League has today announced that the Melbourne Stars match against the Perth Scorchers has been rescheduled.

The match was due to be played at Optus Stadium on Thursday, 30th December. Due to border restrictions, the Scorchers will now travel to Melbourne to face the Stars at Marvel Stadium.

The Stars support the League’s decision, which prioritises the health and safety of players, staff and fans during BBL|11.

Melbourne Stars General Manager Blair Crouch said:
“On behalf of the Stars we would like to thank Alistair Dobson and his team at the Big Bash League for their work to ensure all fixtures can be played under difficult and evolving circumstances as we transition to a post-pandemic situation.”

“We are thrilled that our Stars fans and members can experience another BBL game in Melbourne this summer, given what Melbourne and Victoria has been through over the last 2 years.”
