The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly refused to counter Virat Kohli’s startling claim in the press conference a day earlier as he declined to comment on India’s Test captain remarks.

Former India Captain Sourav Ganguly had earlier said that he spoke with the then India’s T20I captain and asked him not to give up shorter format leadership but the star player declined and relinquished the captaincy.

Virat Kohli on Wednesday claimed that no such conversation took place and his resignation from the 20-over format was received very well. This has created confusion in the Indian Cricket community.

Ganguly, when asked about Virat Kohli’s comments, refused to engage in a war of words.

“I have got nothing to say. We will deal with it, leave it to the BCCI,” the BCCI President said.
