The Dutch squad for the CWC Super League Series against Afghanistan has been announced. National coach Ryan Campbell has selected 15 players for the games on January 21, 23 and 25 to be played at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

The squad for the CWC Super League series in Doha: Pieter Seelaar (VOC) (Captain), Colin Ackermann (Leicestershire County CC), Max O’Dowd (VOC), Scott Edwards (VOC), Brandon Glover (Northamptonshire County CC), Fred Klaassen (Kent County CC), Ryan Klein (HBS), Boris Gorlee (HCC), Clayton Floyd (HCC), Saqib Zulfiqar (Punjab CCNR), Asad Zulfiqar (Punjab CCNR), Bas de Leede (VCC), Vivian Kingma ( VCC), Aryan Dutt (VCC), Phillipe Boissevain (VCC)

Ryan Campbell, national team coach of the Dutch National Team: “Playing against Afghanistan in the Middle East will be one of the toughest tests we will face in this Super League, but nevertheless a challenge that the players will embrace. Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Mujeeb Ul Rahman have become great franchise players worldwide with huge track record.

Again, I chose this squad with the future in mind. Asad Zulfiqar comes on the team to give us a top order option and be the backup wicketkeeper for Scott Edwards.

Aryan Dutt and Boris Gorlee will have more opportunities to prove themselves at this level and that they are ready for a special cricket summer on Dutch soil. Of course, this also applies to leg spinner Philippe Boissevain. The development of these boys is crucial for the breadth and future of the Dutch national team.

In addition to James Hilditch, Peter Borren will also join the coaching staff for this series. With his experience as a local coach a great addition to our staff.”

The game schedule:

– Friday, January 21 at 07:00 (Dutch time):
1st ODI (CWCSL) Afghanistan – Netherlands

– Sunday, January 23 at 07:00 (Dutch time):
2nd ODI (CWCSL) Afghanistan – Netherlands
