The owner of the most followed franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) – Karachi Kings, Mr Salman Iqbal shared that Babar Azam showed great involvement in the team after becoming captain.

Speaking in ARY News’ show Sports Room, Mr. Salman praised Babar’s leading skills and the way he got involved in team’s affairs as captain.

“Babar is a very good cricketer as we all know. But his involvement as captain is something impressed me. I witnessed a positive change in him,” Kings’ owner lauded.

“He now attends every meeting, shows dedication so I think we made right decision to appoint him our captain,” he added.

When asked about Peter Moores’s appointment as the Kings’ head coach, Mr Salman remarked ‘it was another wonderful decision for the team’.

“Moores is a very experienced coach. We have a lot of hopes that the team will do really well under his coaching,” he said.

Mr Salman termed Kings’ lineup ‘a really balanced team with a lot of all-rounders’.

“I think the Kings line-up is very well balanced. We have a lot of all-rounders since I along with our management – Wasim Akram and Moores think the team need more utility players,” he concluded.
