The WA Men’s remaining domestic fixtures for the 2021-22 season have been confirmed, with Cricket Australia today announcing a revised schedule for the Marsh Sheffield Shield and Marsh One Day Cup competitions.
Both competitions have been shortened due to current state border restrictions, public health conditions and player wellbeing.
Based on the advice from CA’s medical team, the decision was made to schedule a short break for players following the Big Bash League season, which sees a delayed start to the domestic season.
WA will take on Victoria in their final match of their Marsh Cup campaign, the action set to unfold at CitiPower Centre on Tuesday 8 March.
The Marsh Cup Final is scheduled to be played on Friday 11 March at CitiPower Centre.
WA then turn their attention to the four-day format, taking on New South Wales at Bankstown Oval on Tuesday 15 March.
The side will conclude their Sheffield Shield campaign in front of Members and fans when they clash with Victoria at the WACA Ground starting Wednesday 23 March.
The Marsh Sheffield Shield final is scheduled to begin Thursday 31 March, with a venue still to be determined.
WA currently sit in top position on both the Marsh Cup and Shield ladders.
