KwaZulu-Natal Inland and Tuskers are delighted to announce that they have been sponsored with a new team bus by ShoFire Mobile.

The team bus, which is worth R730 000, has been branded with the beautiful colours of the Tuskers and will be known as “the Tuskers Bus” and will be used by the union’s various teams. The Tuskers are campaigning in Cricket South Africa’s Division Two with the vision to gain promotion to Division One in the near future.

KZN Inland Cricket Services Manager Jason Sathiaseelan said they are grateful for the sponsorship and explained other great benefits that will come out of the exciting partnership.

“This is a fantastic gesture from Dr Doshen Naidoo and ShoFire Mobile and this sponsorship will assist KZN Inland enormously, allowing the union to save on transport costs for its various teams,” Sathiaseelan said.

“Part of the sponsorship will see the new Tuskers Rising Stars Academy being named the ShoFire Mobile Tuskers Rising Stars Academy. This new program will allow our qualified coaches and Tuskers players to coach the next generation of Tuskers players.

“With the new professional team, opportunities are now available in the Pietermaritzburg and Inland region for players to aspire to play for the Tuskers.”

Dr Naidoo, who is an active player in the KZN Inland veterans league, is an invested person to the sport in the region.

“In hosting the Junior 100 tournament with KZN Inland in December last year, I realised that there’s a need for transportation of both adults and junior players,” Naidoo said. “I decided to sponsor for the exclusive use by Tuskers senior team and its Rising Stars Academy.”
