Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is the governing body for cricket in Sri Lanka. Originally registered as the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka on June 30, 1975, it was renamed Sri Lanka Cricket in 2003.

The Major Club Emerging 3 –Day Tournament, which will see 26 Major Clubs taking part will commence tomorrow (18th February 2022).

The preliminary round of the competition will see 72 matches being played, whilst the top four teams of the four groups ( A, B, C, D) will compete in the semi-finals.

The playing eleven of the Team should consist minimum of 09 under 23 players, whilst a team may include 02 players within the age category of 24 to 28 years.

The finals of the tournament will be played from 22nd April 2022, whilst the Champions will receive a sum of LKR 500,000 as Prize Money, whilst the Runner-Up will receive a sum of LKR 300,000.

The Player of the Tournament, Best Batsman, and the Best Bowler of the tournament will also receive cash prizes.
