The Cricket South Africa Rural Coastal Week has kicked-off today in the South Western Districts (SWD) and will take place from 24 – 27 February 2022 with the following participating teams:
Boland, Border Aloes, Border Country, Border Village, EP Grahamstown, EP Midlands, KEI, SWD.
CSA Acting CEO, Pholetsi Moseki highlighted the importance of Rural Cricket in the country and conveyed his gratitude to the CSA Affiliates and hosting members on their contributions to the development of the CSA Pathway.
“Our involvement with Rural Cricket South Africa has given us the opportunity to use the game of cricket as a means to impact participants beyond the sporting fields, providing positive experiences with lasting cricket memories and building well-rounded individuals”, said Moseki.
CSA Senior Cricket Manager, Johan Weyers also highlighted the importance of the Rural Weeks as they provide all players with equal opportunities and sent best wishes to the participating teams.
“I wish our participating teams everything of the best and may your cricket experience fulfil your dreams and enable you to make new and enduring friendships”, said Weyers.
The SA Rural XI that will play in representative matches will be selected after the conclusion of Rural Coastal Week.
