Cricket Hong Kong and the Association of Cricket Officials Hong Kong are excited to announce an ICC / CHK Level 1 Umpires Course to be held via Zoom in March and April 2022. The course will be led by Qualified Umpire Educator and former ICC Panel of Development Umpire Clive Howard.
This beginner level course is recognised by the International Cricket Council, and will focus on the Laws of Cricket and basic field technique. Successful participants will received a CHK/ICC Level 1 qualification, and will be better equipped to umpire in CHK’s domestic league games. There are limited places available – candidates that currently posses a CHK Level 0 Umpiring Certificate, relevant umpiring experience or membership with CHK ACO will be preferred.
The course will consist of 6 Zoom sessions, held at 7 PM every Wednesday starting on March 2nd, with a written exam on 6th April. To complete the course participants will also need to do a Field Assessment Session, the date of which will be announced once the current COVID-19 Social Distancing Measures have be eased.
