Job Title – COMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIPS ASSISTANT
Organisation – PROFESSIONAL CRICKETERS’ ASSOCIATION
Salary – Up to £25,000 per annum (depending on experience), performance-related bonus and an extensive benefits package including private health insurance, mobile phone and laptop.
Location – The Kia Oval, London
Type of Contract – Full-time role. Monday – Friday. Hybrid working (3 days in the office). Working hours are 9am – 5.30pm but some evening and occasional weekend work may be required to achieve core objectives.
The Professional Cricketers’ Association is the representative body for current and former professional cricketers in England and Wales and champions their ongoing interests. The PCA is seeking to appoint a Commercial Partnerships Assistant to join the team whose base is at The Kia Oval. The role will focus on providing a high level of administrative support to ensure the accurate delivery of rights and benefits across all PCA partnerships.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
Commercial Partnerships
- Working with the Commercial department and across relevant other departments within the PCA to ensure excellent delivery of all commercial partners’ sponsorship rights.
- Create and amend partnership proposals, ensure all confirmed contracts are signed, logged and invoiced.
- Maintain allocation spreadsheets and ensure timely delivery of all partnership benefits.
- Account manage a number of PCA Partnerships
- Be proactive and have the desire to sell to ensure all PCA events are at full capacity.
- Responsible for sponsorship materials, presentations and meetings (renewal proposals, end-of-year recap presentations, upsell sales opportunities, meeting agendas, etc).
- PCA Website – manage the PCA Commercial Partners sections, ensuring that all content and branding is up to date. Ensure that all PCA Commercial Partners Member offers are accurate and up to date.
- Branding – ensure that all relevant logos and branding are incorporated into all PCA Marketing Communications (website, e-newsletter, past players’ Beyond the Boundaries Magazine and event literature).
- Memorabilia – deliver all commercial partner allocations, and liaise with the Player Rights Executive to ensure timely production and delivery of items, and maintain up to date logs of items delivered.
PCA Event support
- PCA event Invitations – coordinate invites and ensure all commercial partners receive full details of their contractual events.
- Create event guest lists and staff lists, including numbers, dietary requirements, etc.
- For all cricket, arrange seating allocation in the stands.
- Assisting at all PCA Events (some evening and weekend work will be required).
- Professional Cricketers’ Trust – Liaise with the commercial and events team to help source auction items and raffle prizes for the Professional Cricketers’ Trust.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- 1 year minimum experience in a client facing role
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with a strong attention to detail in the preparation of documents. A good knowledge of Microsoft office is essential.
- A team player approach.
- Excellent people skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships
- Must possess good customer service ethics and have a ‘can do’ attitude to their work
- A passion for sport is preferable
