Internationals Joe Clarke and Kim Garth have claimed top honours for the Melbourne Stars at tonight’s Cricket Victoria awards.  Joe Clarke, who was one of the Stars’ three internationals on the playing list for BBL|11, enjoyed an incredibly consistent season, averaging 32.23 with the bat at the top of the order. Clarke sat comfortably inside the top 10 run scorers in BBL|11 with 419 runs for the tournament. The opener enjoyed a hot streak through the middle of the tournament peeling off 4 half centuries in a row. Hailing from Nottinghamshire, Clarke also smashed 17 sixes at a strike rate of over 151.

In her first season with the Stars, Irish international Kim Garth shone with both the bat and the ball. Matching it with some of the best bowlers in Australia, she sat inside the top 10 for wicket takers, despite two wash outs. Garth added to her prowess with the ball with an average of over 27 with the bat and a healthy strike rate of over 106.
