The Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Stars4U have teamed up to create interactive digital avatars, a first in cricket.
These digital avatars of Hero CPL players and commentators will offer messages and greetings that fans can share with friends and family. These avatars will be available to purchase one at a time or via a subscription with the platform due to launch very soon.
These lifelike and engaging digital versions of your favourite cricket stars will be available to download via Hero CPL’s digital channels with many avatars available, including Nicholas Pooran, Danny Morrison, Chris Green, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine.
These avatars will give fun messages and greetings voiced by the cricketers themselves but with their likenesses digitally rendered.
Pete Russell, Hero CPL’s CEO, said: “Yet again, Hero CPL is at the cutting edge of fan engagement, and we are really pleased to be working with Stars4U to bring this exciting product to our fans. The world is moving more and more into the digital space, and we will continue to strive to make sure CPL is a front runner in this regard.”
Simon Brown CEO of Stars4u said “This is a first to market for the sporting Industry and the CPL have again committed to this innovative proposition. Entertaining and personalised messages from sporting heroes in the form of avatars that can distributed through existing clubs/fans and multiple social media platforms is a must for any fan. We are building a sustainable technology proposition that’s bringing fans, clubs, and brands closer to their heroes and we are delighted to be in a long-term partnership with the CPL”.
