  • USA Women’s National Selection panel confirms one of the three named reserves in 21 year-old batter, Mahika Kandanala coming in as the replacement

Gargi Bhogle has been ruled out of the USA Women’s tour of the United Arab Emirates which includes the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi. Bhogle sadly suffered a broken finger in her right hand which has not adequately recovered in time to allow her to fly or participate in the tour.

She has been replaced by the 21 year old batter from Dallas, Texas, Mahika Kandanala who was one of the three reserves in the originally named squad. Kandanala was part of the squad for the previous T20 World Cup global Qualifier in Scotland where she made her T20 International debut vs Netherlands.

The squad will arrive in the UAE tomorrow ahead of the first international match in the quadrangular series on Saturday September 10, the updated 15 player Team USA Squad and travelling party can be found below.
