Australia will defend all four World Indoor Cricket Cup titles when the tournament reaches its conclusion at Melbourne’s Casey Stadium today.
The Australian men’s and women’s senior and U22 teams will be attempting to keep their perfect records at the WICC alive in today’s grand finals.
The Australian men’s and women’s teams have won every Indoor Cricket World Cup since the tournament’s inception in 1995.
The tournament has become a Trans-Tasman challenge with Australia facing New Zealand in all four grand finals.
The Australian men face a particularly strong challenge. The Kiwis, featuring former New Zealand Test batter Jesse Ryder, beat the Australians in the opening group match and a hard-fought grand final is anticipated.
The Australian women have been in dominant form going through the tournament undefeated so far.
Today’s grand final schedule is:
9am (AEDT): U22 Men Grand Final Australia v New Zealand
11am (AEDT): U22 Women Grand Final: Australia v New Zealand
1pm (AEDT): Women’s Grand Final: Australia v New Zealand
3pm (AEDT): Men’s Grand Final Australia v New Zealand
The four grand finals will be shown live and free on Kayo Sports.
