Cricket Scotland U19 Men to Hold Open Trials

Cricket Scotland, formerly the Scottish Cricket Union, is the governing body for cricket in Scotland, based at the National Cricket Academy in Edinburgh. Established in 1908 and restructured in 2001, it became an ICC Associate Member in 1994. The organization includes three sub-associations: the East of Scotland Cricket Association, Western District Cricket Union, and Aberdeenshire Cricket Association.

Cricket Scotland will hold open trials for a place in the Men’s U19 World Cup Training Squad.

Trials will take place at Dollar Academy on Sunday, the 6th and 20th November 2022. These open trials will allow cricketers that may not already be involved in the Cricket Scotland pathway to show their talent.

Players must be born on or after 1st September 2003 and be eligible to play cricket for Scotland. for eligibility criteria please see HERE

Interested players should send the following information in an email to U19 Head Coach Daniel Sutton at: daniel.sutton@abdn.ac.uk –

  • Video of player batting and or bowling
  • Date of Birth
  • Club /School
  • The highest level of cricket played to date
  • Contact phone number

If invited to trial, players will be expected to carry out strength and conditioning testing in addition to batting, bowling and fielding assessments.
