As the captain of Islamabad United, I am really happy with the squad we have assembled.

We are a team that always focuses on developing young talent. I was once an emerging player, now I am the captain. It is a tradition at Islamabad United that our emerging players go on to represent Pakistan. This year we have 3 really exciting emerging guys. Mubasir Khan has shown his class in the QeA trophy, winning player of the tournament twice. Hassan Nawaz has every shot in the book, he is one of the most exciting batting prospects. Would also suggest everyone to keep an eye out on Zeeshan Zameer. He is a special talent, we are a country that loves fast bowlers with high pace because after all pace is pace yaar. Zeeshan is blessed with natural ability, we will try to give him a proper platform and will try to guide him without putting too much pressure on him this season.
