Bio
Ross Hepburn is the Chair of Cricket Victoria, where he has served as Director since August 2020 and was appointed Chair in September 2022. Hepburn joined Cricket Victoria in 2011 as the independent Chairperson of the Southern Region and has also served as General Manager of Cricket Victoria.
Under his leadership, local cricket clubs have flourished. Hepburn has also been a strong advocate for good governance during his tenure with Cricket Victoria. He is a life member and past President of Coomoora Cricket Club and has had a long association with Dandenong Cricket Club.
In addition to his role with Cricket Victoria, Hepburn is currently the Chair of South East Community Links, an organization that provides programs and services to multicultural communities in Melbourne’s South East. The organization was formed in 2015 with the amalgamation of three organizations, including Springvale Community Aid and Advice Bureau (SCAAB), Dandenong Community Advisory Bureau (DCAB), and Southern Ethnic Advisory and Advocacy Council (SEAAC). Hepburn served on the Springvale Community Aid and Advice Bureau from 2007 to 2015 and was Chairperson since 2010, which led to his election as Chairperson of South East Community Links.
Hepburn has extensive experience in hands-on management across various business models in the private, government, not-for-profit, and sports sectors.
He has contributed a unique and insightful perspective to board governance, commercial matters, and community issues, including his tenure at RMIT University for 14 years. Hepburn has also served on the Visy Board with the late Richard Pratt, where he led the Marketing portfolio. He has also served the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet as a Marketing Consultant while holding various management positions in the Australian Consolidated Industries.
Hepburn holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Monash University, and he also has a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Melbourne. He has also studied at New York University.
