CSA: Nipper and Tait – Tuskers Players of the Year

Cricket South Africa (CSA) governs cricket in South Africa. Formed in 2002, it succeeded the United Cricket Board of South Africa (UCB) and became the sole governing body in 2008. CSA oversees all levels of cricket, including national teams for men and women, and is a full ICC member and SASCOC affiliate.

KwaZulu-Natal Inland Cricket Union and AET Tuskers held its Annual Awards Banquet at a glittering function in the city of Pietermaritzburg to celebrate their achievements.  

The AET Tuskers have gained promotion to Division 1 and the union handed out plenty of awards to players and others attached to the regional body at different levels, with the help of city mayor Mzimkhulu Thebolla.  

Kyle Nipper was named the Tusker’s 1-Day Player of Year, Tian Koekemoer was the 1-Day Players Player of the Year and Stefan Tait was honoured as 4-Day Players Player of the Year and Player of the Year.  

Team skipper, Michael Erlank also received a couple of awards while the KZN Inland President’s Award went to Michael Buckley for “outstanding service to cricket” from his base at Lancashire Cricket Club.  

KZN Inland CEO Jason Sathiaseelan said, “this has been a massive twelve months for us both on and off the field. Many have contributed to the success and congratulations to all award winners and team behind the scenes for their sterling work in ensuring our success”.
