THE COMPTON AND EDRICH STANDS, THAT WERE OPENED IN JULY 2021 AND USED FULLY DURING THE 2022 SEASON, HAVE WON A COVETED CIVIC TRUST AWARD.

The Civic Trust Awards judges commented that the stands were, “a great concept, which serves its purpose well and makes a very positive contribution to those using the ground.”

The Award is given to projects that make an outstanding contribution to the quality and appearance of the built environment. Award level schemes demonstrate excellence in architecture or design, whilst being sustainable, accessible and provide a positive civic contribution.

“THE STANDS LOOK FANTASTIC AND ALLOW CRICKET FANS TO EXPERIENCE THE WORLD-CLASS FACILITIES AND UNRIVALLED VIEWS OF THE PITCH”

Robert Ebdon, Estates Director at MCC commented: “We are delighted to receive this accolade for the Compton and Edrich stands – the largest development project in MCC’s history.
