Longstanding partner of Lions Cricket, Beyers Chocolates spoilt in excess of 350 children on Wednesday 5 April 2023. The ‘egg’citing Easter egg hunt sent the children, aged between 7 – 11 years old in search of chocolate delights hidden throughout the iconic DP World Wanderers Stadium.

Whilst the children from the Lions Cricket hubs gathered at the ground in the crisp Autumn chill, Lions Cricket CEO Jono Leaf-Wright says that the joy of the event brought as much warmth to his Pride members, as it did to the children present.

“In excess of 2500 eggs were hidden today – all for these special youngsters to seek out and tuck in! It never ceases to amaze me how small gestures go a long way – and today was another clear indication that in doing small things, we can bring great joy. May each and every child here today enjoy the experience, the hunt and the absolute deliciously rich Beyers chocolates.”

Beyers Chocolates Marketing Manager Sian Melville concludes;

“We were extremely grateful to DP World Lions for giving Beyers and Sweetie Pie the opportunity to participate in the initiative. The children at the hunt are all part of the DP World Lions cricket hubs and wouldn’t typically have the chance to experience an Easter hunt of that scale. It was wonderful to see them enjoying themselves while searching for Sweetie Pie mallow eggs in the stadium, given their passion for cricket. As a brand, we’re passionate about bringing joy through smiles. At Beyers, our caring nature fuels our purpose.”
