The second edition of the Emirates D50 Tournament will commence at the Ajman Malek Ground, Ajman from Wednesday. The 12-day, 50-over tournament will feature both the top and upcoming UAE players. The Emirates Blues side will defend their title, the inaugural Emirates D50 Tournament was staged in 2021 with the Blues defeating Ajman in the final. A total of 17 matches including the final will be played in the 12-day event.
Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Emirates Blues, Fujairah and Sharjah will compete in the single-league event with each team playing the other once in the group stage. The table-toppers will qualify directly for the Sunday 14 May final. Teams that will finish second and third at the completion of the single-league round will play in the 13 May play-off with the winners joining the top-ranked team in the final.
The Emirates Blues for this year’s tournament features some of the most exciting youngsters in the UAE who have a bright future ahead. The tournament will provide an excellent opportunity for the youngsters to showcase – mostly U19 players, their talent at what is expected to be a hugely competitive tournament. All tournament matches will be day and night affairs, with the matches starting at 3pm or 4pm.

The event will also help our men’s team in their preparations for June’s ICC World Cup 2023 Qualifiers in Zimbabwe.
