The Hobart Hurricanes are delighted to announce that Wilson Security has signed a one-year extension as the club’s Official Security Partner, which will see them remain a member of the Hurricanes family throughout the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Having already been a member of the Hurricanes partnership family for over seven years – and with their branding emblazoned on both the Hurricanes’ BBL and WBBL team headwear – Wilson Security will also remain as the Official Headwear Partner of the Hurricanes.
Wilson Security branding will be visible throughout all Hurricanes match days on player headwear (playing hats, training caps and helmets) as well as on signage surrounding the Hurricanes’ team dugouts.
Wilson Security Chief Operating Officer, Nick Schijf, said the organisation are excited to continue their partnership with the Hurricanes into next season.
“In partnership with the Hurricanes throughout the last seven-seasons, we have worked together towards a joint vision, engaging with communities, staff, members and fans alike, something we are looking forward to continuing over the 2023-24 season.” said Schijf.
General Manager of the Hobart Hurricanes, Scott Barnes, echoed this sentiment by saying that it was fantastic to secure the extension of such a valued partnership.
“Wilson Security has been a part of the Hurricanes family for a long time now, and so we’re thrilled to have this relationship continue.
“Wilson Security extending their deal, shows the trust they have in what our team is doing to grow and solidify the Hurricanes’ brand both on and off the field.”
On top of the partnership extension announcement, Wilson Security will be unveiling a new CCTV system at Blundstone Arena, which will be utilised for the first time this weekend at the AFL match between North Melbourne and Port Adelaide.
Wilson Security installed 86 new Avigilon Analytics CCTV cameras at strategic locations in Blundstone Arena. This new CCTV system has significantly enhanced the safety and security of Blundstone Arena, whilst setting a new benchmark for safety and security in sporting facilities, and Cricket Tasmania can be confident in the knowledge that they are providing a safe and secure environment.
“It’s fantastic to have a partner in Wilson Security that is willing to contribute in such a practical way, which not only benefits our business, but also our members and patrons,” added Scott Woodham, General Manager of Venue Operations at Blundstone Arena.
“The safety and security of players, staff, and spectators are of utmost importance at Blundstone Arena, so we’re thrilled this new system, is ready for use for the first AFL game we are hosting this season.”
