Queensland Cricket, previously the Queensland Cricket Association, is the governing body for cricket in Queensland, Australia. Established in 1876, it oversees the Queensland Bulls, Queensland Fire, Allan Border Field, and Queensland Premier Cricket. Terry Svenson is the current CEO, and Kirsten Pike is the Chair of the Board of Directors.

The Boyne Island Tannum Sands Cricket Club and wider Gladstone and Central Queensland cricket community are celebrating the conferral of King’s Birthday Honours to volunteer Linda Hall today.

Hall was awarded an OAM – a Medal of the Order Of Australia for her services to the the community of Boyne Island.

She has been involved with the Boyne Island Tannum Sands Cricket Club (BITS) since 1996, initially as a commttee member as well as taking on the roles as treasurer and secretary and being awarded Life Membership of the club.

She was a committee member of Gladstone Cricket between 2002-2005 and scorer for CQ representative teams between 2003 and 2004..

Hall has also been heavily involved in other communty based organisations as a volunteer, including the Boyne Island Tannum Sands Golf Club, Boyne Island Tannum Sands Saints Football Club and Boyne Tannum Meals on Wheels,

Queensland Cricket congratulates Linda on her committment to the game, and thanks her for her efforts as a volunteer to make a difference to her community.
